The problem for some Americans is it’s not Wilder. Completely overlooking the fact that after this fight there will only be 2 champions in the division so we may finally see a unified heavyweight championship.

Every fighter has haters. Joshua could of fought someone else and the same guys would be saying he ducked Parker.

Fact is Joshua/Parker has been talked about for a long time, before both had titles so most objective fans will be more than happy that this fight seems to be happening.

Some are calling it a mismatch, same people who called Takam a mismatch then moaned when Takam wasn't blown away. You can't please the haters.

As for how Parker deals with the huge home crowd, hard to say, it effects some fighters negatively but it motivates others. He's fought in the UK before and I'm sure he'll come over well before the fight date like he did for Hughie, so he will be prepared as he can be.

Regardless of nationality, to think anyone could moan about a 20 fight unified HW champion wanting to completely unify the division is honestly beyond me.

Trust me if Wilder was doing this about 20 fights ago, while selling out stadiums in America, I would’ve been a supporter and enjoyed watching his journey...

True, I actually quite liked Wilder after he KO'ed Liakhovich, I saw the raw talent in the guy and hoped that now he had stepped up a level he would continue to do so.

But then he fought Firtha and it was pretty clear to me this guy had no real desire to prove himself. Then there was the dive by Scott and the Gavern fight and by then I had given up on him.

He'd have way more fans had he actually showed more ambition earlier in his career. He just seemed happy to coast along for so long fighting nobodies.

two undefeated fighters, two belts on the line - the fight isn't mediocre but maybe the opponents are to you, they're still 2 of the best 3/4 heavyweights the division has to offer currently.

But f*** the haters, they'll hate no matter what. This is a decent matchup between two of the divisions best with 3 belts on the line.
