Comments Thread For: Bernstein: Peterson Will Make it Very Entertaining With Spence

Al Bernstein, Hall of Famer and expert analyst for Showtime Sports, expects the upcoming welterweight clash between Errol Spence and Lamont Peterson to be a very entertaining affair. Spence (22-0, 19 KOs) will make the first defense of his IBF world title against Peterson (35-3-1, 17 KOs) on January 20th from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Showtime will televise the bout.

Pederson isn't shot to pieces, so am expecting a fierce fight. This year is going to be big for the 147 division, as long as those that we expect to win does so.

I get that they have to promote the fight for their network, but he should know that boxing fans know that is going to be a huge beatdown. Lamont Peterson is an 11-1 underdog...

I've always thought Lamont is a great fighter just so goddamn inactive. It can take 5 or 6 rounds but when he starts his engines there are fewer finer sights in boxing. The way he marches forward throwing head and body shots whilst bobbing and weaving his top half to avoid counters, is a thing of beauty. Big Peterson fan (when he's on).

Two of my favorite fighters and will enjoy this. Pulling for Lamont but I'm good either way.

The bout depends on the style Peterson is going to try to use to win Spencer shine oin this fight but as well Peterson could make it very difficult for him... but I'm going with Spence possibly a very late TKO...

PEDerson's old homeless ass is getting stopped if he doesn't run for the hills from 0:01 until the final bell. He couldn't even seriously hurt Khan on PEDs... He has 0 punching power to threaten Spence, and Spence goes that body like Rocky in the meat freezer.

Not surprised one of your favorite fighters is a PED-using pos. You have no honor or integrity and neither does he.
