Comments Thread For: McGuigan: I Love Crawford - Not Sure He Beats Spence, Thurman

Former world champion Barry McGuigan, who is now a veteran promoter, is a very big fan of Terence Crawford (32-0, 23 KOs), who is regarded by some as the top pound for pound fighter in boxing. Crawford has a huge 2017, and there were many who tabbed him as the 'Fighter of The Year' in a very tight race with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko.

I like Crawford but I am afraid as of right now he is not beating Spence or Thurman. He is a novelty at Welterweight.I would like to see his performance first at 147 in order for me to make futuristic prediction of 147 Run.

I would pick Crawford over either. Spence beats Thurman though.

I think Crawford could outbox Spence. I think Thurman could outbox Crawford 50/50 fights

I've been saying the same exact thing. Cats think Crawford is unstoppable at welterweight are in for a surprise.

I really like Bud, but don’t mess around with Spence (nor Thurman or Porter). Arum’s smart. He won’t put Crawford in those wars until Loma has risen as the no. 1 cash cow.
