Comments Thread For: Felix Verdejo Turns The Page, Looks For a Fresh Start in 2018

Puerto Rican lightweight contender Felix 'El Diamante' Verdejo will be looking to turn away from 2017, as he aims for a fresh start in the new year. After living through a year of stagnation due to physical injuries and bad luck in several negotiations, Verdejo needs 2018 to bring him better luck in order to be able to reconsolidate his status as Puerto Rico's best prospect in boxing.

I wish him the best, but a case of too much hype. More smoke than fire.

Let's hope and pray the WBO crowns him soon. To make the crowning seem legit let's also hope the WBO uses its perfected formula of out of the blue having a Mexican fighter with a pseudo excellent record be ranked as the number one contender in the WBO ranks, and have the legit champ vacate so that verdejo can look like the next Gomez in the master plan of his crowning. All of Puerto Rico will rejoice and will chant long live the champ. Until he gets exposed by a D class fighter.
