As reported on Wednesday on BoxingScene.com, Joseph Parker's promoter says a fight between the New Zealander and Anthony Joshua "has never been closer" after a purse split was formally agreed. Joshua, the star of the heavyweight division who holds the IBF, IBO and WBA belts, is expected to take on Parker - the WBO champion - in March or April next year.

I'll say the same thing I keep on saying. Parker could not KO Cojanu, Ruiz, Hughie Fury or Takam...but somehow he's going to KO Anthony Joshua????? AJ has the size advantage, reach, resume, he's fighting at home with 90k behind him. I just cannot see a way for Parker, who again did not KO the above mentioned fighters, I can't see a way for him to win at all. Even f he were to land something big, AJ has proven that he can get up off the floor and win and that's something that Parker cannot say he's done before. Short arms and not as powerful, that's a bad combination for someone who is talking all this smack
