Comments Thread For: Bernstein: Who Knows Ortiz's Real Age, But He's Wilder's Best Foe

Very shortly, a deal will probably get announced for a showdown between WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) and undefeated Cuban puncher Luis Ortiz (28-0, 24 KOs). The date of March 3rd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York has been locked in for the contest.

I highly doubt Luis Ortiz knows how old Luis Ortiz is.

He is the guy that Frank Bruno 2 ducked and was thrilled that the WBA stripped of his #1 ranking because he was taking blood pressure pills, so the Britain Diva fought the IBF no name #1 contender, who got hurt, that led to the standing statue Takum, Wilder knocks out Stiverne and calls out juicehead and he ducks again and is now fighting a less dangerous, feather fisted Parker, what a joke this Brit so called heavyweight paper champ he is!!

How come the American public cries RACISM only when Americans are the 'victims'?

Yes, I'm saying it, assuming Cubans fake their age is not based on facts but on prejudice and stereotypes.

Ortiz, just like Rigondeaux and most other professional boxers from Cuba had a long amateur career. He looked like a boy when he won his silver medal at the World Cup in Moscow 2005.

When do you think he changed his age? When he was 5? They made him -5 years old when he was 5? Come on, gtfo with your imperialist racist bull****.

The WBA didn’t have any patience, couldn’t mind their own business and acted quickly so the fraud organization can get the sanction fee from this bum AJs next fight, so they cowardly dropped Ortiz for taking blood pressure pills. They and his fraud promoter knew Ortiz was dangerous and were going to knock their cash cow out, you little rascal Hearn. The WBC then does their investigation and reinstates Ortiz and then the real heavyweight champ says ok, if Frank Bruno 2 is scared to take on a real challenge, then I’ll take this dude on, what a chump this guy is

Let's not pretend like an athlete originating from a country with poor record keeping wouldn't use that to their advantage. We've seen it in other sports, the dominicans are notorious for doing this too in baseball. We've seen the same from Venezuela, Colombia, and other places as well. Especially for olympians, having an advantage to the point where first world nations have huge doping programs and you think a place like Cuba wouldn't trim a few years off a guy's age to get an edge? I'm not saying he's older than what is listed but c'mon you can't be naive enough to think it isn't possible or likely even in his case.

Actually, only Rigo and Ortiz was viewed in this way. I've never heard anyone say this about guys like Lara, Ugas, Dorticos or Barthelemy.

You gotta think about it that way, Ortiz and Rigo started boxing when they were kids, they went to national and international competitions as buys and young adults, when could they have changed their age?

Especially in a drastic way like Mansour (he's full of bs anyway, believes everything his brothers told him in prison, heck, he even fell for religion, nonsense written down on animal skin thousands of years ago), Bernstein and others suggest.

That would have been way too obvious, a guy competing with adults and then suddenly going back to the kids? And nobody noticed until they were almost 40? Then some smart-ass thought they looked even older? Ridiculous.
