Ward-Kovalev 2. Would have liked to see a prolonged beating end with Kovalev flat on his back. But "Krusher" wanted a way out and got it

Ward-Kovalev II. Just so the Kovalev super fans would know he was getting stopped anyway.

Ha. I think Kovalev gassed out and outcome may have been the same despite the fouls. We’ll never know.

Why would you assume it's true that the ref stopped it for his favorite? Isn't it possible that the ref simply made a mistake? Happens all the time in sports.

Also, he did tell them that beltline was good, and Kovalev was complaining about legal body shots. I think it's possible he just didn't see clearly where the last few shots landed or thought they were on the beltline. If you watch the NBA, you see how many mistakes the league admits the refs make each and every game. Just saying, it doesn't have to be as malicious as you make it seem, bro.

Fair enough. Although impractical maybe we need a way to police or overturn some of these “mistakes” referees make through an instant replay review etc. Kovalev was gassing out in that fight but it doesn’t excuse Ward’s blantant fouls clearly seen on replay. It’s old news now and I don’t believe the problem is rampant with referrees. It was a problem in this fight.
