  • Comments Thread For: Christopher Diaz Confident Felix Verdejo Can Get Back on Track

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Felix "El Diamante" Verdejo will return to the ring on March 17 at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York, and there is no one happier than his ex-gym partner, Christopher "Pitufo" Diaz. After a long absence, Verdejo, with a record of 23-0 and 15 KO's, will see action along with Diaz on that card on St. Patrick's Day - just over a year after his last fight.

I don't think so. You saying and me seeing don't match. Whatever it is you think he has, only happened when he fought the hair dresser. His potential, his talent, all that is getting old.

Agree he has never shown that talent after he moved past the clubfighters.I think his time has come and gone I mean if he is already losing interest BEFORE he makes any real money then whats gonna happen if he does.I think Top Rank will be looking to cash him out.Promoters lose money bringing a prospect up and I don't see Top Rank willing to put much more into this kid.

He's not the next Tito Trinidad, the kid doesn't have it. However, his weight division is weak so he'll prolly scoop up a couple of decent wins.

his inability to put punches together and spotty defense give me no confidence in him to compete with the elites.

Past time to cash in. Flanagan was supposed to be his first test, and that was a year ago. I don't think that pretty boy act is going to sell much longer.

Agree Top Rank will try and get back as much of their investment as they can.
