The World Boxing Council has confirmed that Olympic gold medal winner Alexander Povetkin of Russia fully satisfied a $250,000 fine for a failed drug test. The WBC will use the money towards the further development of their "Clean Boxing" anti-doping programs, according to WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman. "Alexander Povetkin has paid the fine, to be used for the development of the Clean Boxing program," Sulaiman said.

LMAO! I use to have faith in the VADA program but what good is it when the WBC allow cheats like Luis Nery to hold on to their title despite violating? but Alexander has to pay them, how much did they charge Nery? maybe Pedvetkin should of flown to Mexico and eat a 'tainted taco', that way he would still be fighting Deontay Wilder....oh I forgot he has something better going on now as A.J's mandatory...yeah **** the HW division.

Shouldn’t a percentage of that go to Wilder?

Don’t Forget Francisco Vargas and Luis Ortiz. The only reason people were drooling all over vada is because Mayweather was with usada. Had Floyd used Vada theyd be saying usada was the best. Vada is nothing but a money scheme ran by a felon

I noticed a lot of his fan boys forget he failed 2x against Wilder & Stiverne. Once for meldonium, the 2nd time Ostarine.

His cardio vs Huck was ass and nearly got him beaten, that's when he started doping and completely transformed his body.

Idk what y'all saying it was a small fee are looking at. Sounds like plenty to me.

If anything a ban would be more appropriate than a fine.
