I'm swinging off toneys nuts yet this is the first time you've seen me comment on him. Yet, how many times are you on this site praising Canelo. You on his nuts?? As far as double standard, isn't it most Canelo fans who used to criticize mayweather as a runner and boring and said they couldn't wait for canelo to take the Mexican dates? Isn't it Canelo fans who said Lara ran from Canelo and that's why he didn't deserve the decision? Didn't Canelo fans say cotto was scared to engage with canelo which is why Canelo couldn't get the ko? Yet, here comes Canelo fighting off the back foot all night vs ggg, moving away, not looking to engage despite saying he was planning for the ko, and now it's masterful boxing right? So that's a double standard too. I'm not saying you specifically, but that is the case with most of his fans. For me, I'm cool with a boxing style but isn't that the same style most Mexican fans and Canelo fans have been calling scared, sissy style, etc when Floyd did it??

Okay you said it! Most Mexican fans but not me. You've never heard me call Mayweather or Lara or Cotto a runner. This is Boxing not brawling. Using the ring to box is part of the game.

How's he gonna stop Canelo with body shots when he wasn't throwing any? And if you're cool with the boxing style then why you agreeing with what Toney said??

Canelo accused him of "running" yet Canelo could not land on Mayweather as effectively, plus Mayweather made him look foolish at times...he practically embarrassed him, like he did JMM, unfortunately...then Canelo, after criticizing Mayweather of "running" tries to employ the same strategy against Golovkin, except he's not as effective because 1) GGG was still the more active fighter and 2) GGG walked through his punches and kept going after him...do you remember the look on Canelo's face every time Floyd hit him clean?

come on man, it's ok to disagree...that's why we love boxing. And for the record, I think a draw was fair.

BLIND!!! GGG quit throwing body shots like after the 1st few rounds. And Canelo wasnt even close to getting KO'd. GGG was the one getting ROCKED with his head snapping back.

Mayweather was busier and dominated Canelo and towards the end was landing at will while Alvarez "could not find him" I believe was what Canelo said himself in the post fight interview?

GGG was the busier fighter against Canelo and dominated the middle rounds pretty convincingly, now Canelo did better in the final rounds but not enough activity over GGG...again, a draw is fair.

Two completely different fights...and neither one of them was a "brawl".

no **** I don't like Canelo. That's no secret. As a boxing fan, aren't there some guys you and like and some you don't? My dislike for canelo started when he got shady score card after shady scorecard because of his marketability and then chose to fight 3 no hope guys in a row instead of ggg. Sure it's the business, but I don't have to like it. As far as Toney, I've always found Toney to be funny when talking boxing. The dude hates everybody and that's kinda why I like him. He once said Hopkins mother must have ****ed a goat because of how much he leads with his head. I don't have an issue with boxing but Canelo imo lost that fight by trying to box in a style that he normally doesn't use. He fought ggg differently than he's fought anyone else and didn't seem confortable all night to me. While he was able to avoid major punishment, he didn't seem to be fighting to win that fight convincingly. He definitely wasn't fighting to try and win by ko as he said he would and as he normally does. He squeaked out some rounds to make it competitive but to me, ggg controlled the tempo of the fight because Canelo chose to fight in a style that he's never really used Before, unlike guys like floyd and Lara who we know what we're getting when they get in the ring. Similar to what happened with Oscar vs tito. Yeah, Oscar should've won that fight but because he chose to fight in a style that was different from what made him popular, people weren't feeling it.
