Comments Thread For: Trainer Ingle Always Thought Saunders Could Become 'Superstar'

Dominic Ingle always saw an enormous amount of potential in Billy Joe Saunders. The man who has trained Saunders for his past two fights also knew it was going to take someone determined to convince Saunders to change his habits both in and out of the ring before he could maximize his talents. Ingle didn't think he would get that chance, but the British trainer is thankful that promoter Frank Warren offered him that opportunity earlier this year.

OK, now on to the elites, where he will fare much worse. GGG and Jacobs would nail him in hos switchups and walk through his shots. GGG would cut him in half. Jacobs would catch him early and often. The Charlos and Andrade would test him with Jarmell beating him potentially.

Me either. I thought you said Saunders was a gatekeeper. I can't read very well apparently... but you're right. Lemieux has been beat by worse guys tham Saunders so questions still remain.

Don't see him beating the other elite 160 fighters like Charlo, GGG, Canelo and Jacobs. Good fighter but out of his depth, needs to fight Canelo for a huge payday and then take it easy for the rest of his career.
