Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Free To Box After UKAD Ruling

Tyson Fury has been cleared to resume his career after accepting a backdated two-year ban. The former heavyweight world champion has not fought since he beat Wladimir Klitschko back in November 2015. Fury was provisionally suspended in summer 2016 after the news that he had failed a drugs test nine months before he beat Klitschko.

Probably the best thing that HW division could get right now tbh

Does this mean he's admitted to wrongdoing? You don't get a two year ban for no reason.
      It’s a compromise stance

Instead of fighting it, and wasting another few years, they both agreed to let Fury get on

The thing is, if Ukad let Fury walk and drop everything, they were liable for legal action for wasting Fury’s time and tainting his image.. no one could really win here

Good Fury can comeback, get in shape, get a few tune ups then take up against Joshua and Wilder.

So it looks like the hearing took place over the phone yesterday.

The Hughie Fury situation is very strange. He seems to have been given the same punishment, yet his record from the time he would have been banned still stands?

Fury is at least 50 lbs away from relevance anyway

I don't think he can get back to where he was. Maybe Ricky Hatton could put on some pudge then get back into shape but Tyson is a giant dinosaur of a man. Getting that badly out of shape puts irreversible wear and tear on his body.
