Fringe welterweight contender Mikael Zewski stopped Martin Escobar Thursday night at the Montreal Casino in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Zewski (29-1, 22 knockouts), who resides in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, battered Escobar until referee Yvon Goulet stopped the bout at 2:34 of the second round. The 28-year-old Zewski, who signed a one-year promotional contract with Yvon Michel in early September, has won his last three bouts since suffering his only loss of his career to Konstantin Ponomarev in May of 2015.
