Comments Thread For: Hearn: Joshua vs. Parker Deal is Close, We're Ready To Overpay

According to Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs), a deal is "very close" for a unification with WBO world champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs). Hearn says they are ready to "overpay" to make the contest happen, with a likely date in the first quarter of 2018 in March.

See, the likes of Parker and Wilder can get a better split than you'd first think because Hearn and Joshua are under pressure from their own fans and investors to deliver the best fights now

It takes two to put this event together.Parker is putting his title and unbeaten record on the line and because of the unification angle it's just Hearns typical greed that didn't want to give him 35%.Hearn would have much sooner sold Whyte v AJ. on PPV if he felt he could have got away with it.

Get this out of the way as the fight the fans want is WILDER and he deserves 50% or so!

Fan of wilders but he needs to do something ASAP. He needs a big name. His team should of been reached out to Parker. I don’t understand Haymon sometimes.

The fans ringside against AJ Takam were clamouring for Wilder afterwards when posed with who they wanted next. I doubt it happens nect year personally but you never know, AJ is gonna have mandatories ie Povetkin, Charr/Pulev/Oquendo winner.

I love how the other belt holders in Parker and Wilder are trying to rob AJ blind. Oh well if AJ wants all the belts not only does he have to beat them he has to pay them a lot more than they deserve.
