Comments Thread For: Michael Conlan Wins, Goes Distance for First Time

NEW YORK Michael Conlan had to work harder for his fifth professional win than any of his first four. Northern Ireland's Conlan went the distance for the first time in his career Saturday night in The Theater at Madison Square Garden. Argentina's Luis Fenando Molina made Conlan go all six rounds and took everything the 2016 Olympian could land in their featherweight fight.

Damn, didn't know the guy was 26... Whats up with these fighters turning pro in their mid 20's and fighting 3 times a year as if that will accelerate their career. I don't see him becoming a world champion, maybe if he was 19

He was exposed last night versus a four and three guy from Argentina that probably didn't sleep on the plane coming up he's not fast enough to keep his hands that low and he was very ineffective when he switch to Southpaw Wheatley fight someone good then you'll see why he was only a bronze medal winner and that was almost a gift ..
