Comments Thread For: Hearn: Povetkin-Hammer Could Become Eliminator For Joshua

Eddie Hearn, promoter for WBA, IBO, IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs), has revealed that the upcoming fight between Alexander Povetkin and Christian Hammer could very well get sanctioned as a WBA final eliminator for a mandatory crack at Joshua. Hammer (22-4, 12 KOs) and former world champion Povetkin (32-1, 23 KOs) will collide on December 15 in Yekaterinburg.

He's not fighting Povetkin, Hearn is just saying it to put the thumb screws on Wilder

And slimy Hearn would promote it as the biggest fight ever.

As any promoter should do. How'd you expect him to promote it, as an easy mandatory match?

Its pretty funny how some fans expect promoters to not promote.

Joshua about to face all the big names and Wilder will still be irrelevant when they eventually fight, in case ever Wilder faces reality and know stops boycotting the fight with his delusionary demands. Wilder must be the biggest joke in boxing in a long time. America got the president they deserve and also got the Heavyweight champion they deserve.

Odds-wise, you won't find Povetkin as a massive underdog against anybody. I personally favor him against every HW, AJ would be the biggest hurdle though.

                    That said, I'm usually wrong.
