          yea....so Roach Jr. sucks

apparently not related to Freddie Roach.

he's going to war against this Filipino journeyman with 6 losses and was hurt.

Eh, he was hurt in the 2nd round with a body shot. I'm at the fight and thought he controlled every other round. Kid has nice skills and hand speed but was way too patient against a guy of that caliber IMO. Should've got him out of there before 10 rounds... seemed unwilling to put together more than 3 punches at a time even though opportunities were there. Not impressed but he's a smart boxer with some skills...

Avery Sparrow was impressive. Gotta stop with the wide swings though. Gets off balance quite a bit.

Super Featherweight Prospect Lamont Roach, Jr. (16-0, 6 KOs) demonstrated yet again why he's one of the best and brightest prospects of the Golden Boy Promotions stable as he defeated tough contender Rey "Flash" Perez (21-9, 6 KOs) via unanimous decision in the 10-round main event of the latest edition of Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN at the MGM National Harbor in Maryland. Despite getting caught with a hard shot to the body in the second round, Roach, Jr. prevailed in exciting and dominant fashion, landing right hands and lead left uppercuts to hurt Perez in the later rounds. Roach, Jr. won with three scores of 99-91.
