These sanctioning bodies make so many accommodations that make no sense. Now Rigo is being penalized for taking a big step up in weight class against Loma. Sure they can say that him moving creates uncertainty for the title at that weight, but these people will literally create new titles named after minerals and colors just to get sanctioning fees or hold a belt for a big name. As far as I am concerned, Rigo beating Loma may speak more volumes than holding that WBA title.

As, should he lose, he'd likely want to move back down to defend his title. Now he can't. Instead, he has to get back in line, presumably.

The problem is that if he loses and wants to move back down to defend his title, they won't let him.

The WBA's decision here makes no sense because if they're giving him 5 days in the event that he wins, he should also be given 5 days in the event that he loses.
