Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker Shakes Head at Anthony Joshua's Muscles

WBO heavyweight world champion Joseph Parker believes Anthony Joshua's muscular physique will be working against him when a unification comes together. Their respective promoters are in talks for a showdown in early 2018. Two sides were very far apart on the money two weeks, but things appear to be coming together as their teams are inching closer to being on the same page when it comes to the financial terms.

Parker, one of the weakest HW champs in a long time will need to up his game against AJ. He will get blown out.

Of what I've seen of Joshua he's massively overrated and even more so on this forum. Joshua looks devoid of ideas inside the ring when his power isn't as telling with him raising his competiton level.

I agree. He's not that much better than guys like Parker, Fury, and Wilder if at all. Because he beat an old gun shy Wlad in a war? Fury beat him in better fashion a year prior and nobody pumped that win up.

A.J probably is coming in 280+ pounds with Phil Edwards, Howard Foster, Ian John Lewis, Terry O'Connor. I cant blame Parker for asking for 40% when you really consider the disadvantages he has to overcome, but Joshua's fanboys don't think about that stuff.

Parker is just clutching at straws has he is on the small side .It's the most obvious thing to say but well muscled fighters such as Holyfield and Norton didn't do too bad.

He was hard pushed by Wlad but came out strong in round 11 and if Parker is as weak as he looked against mediocre Fury then there will be no round 11.

You were one of the guys who said Takam would be gone in 1st round.

AJ will always stuggle with anyone who can move like a boxer. Just like he struggled with blind midget Takam.

Parker may not be the greatest but he will be the best fighter under 40 years old AJ has Faced. FACT.

Whatever cycle Joshua was on last fight had him cut but way too big. They'll use something to get him a little more leaned out next fight so he's back around that 240-245 mark.
