Comments Thread For: Chocolatito To Return in April or May, Possibly on Canelo-GGG II

The return of Nicaraguan superstar Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez may ot take place until April or May of 2018, according to promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions. Loeffler does not rule out the possibility of the four division world champion making his return as part of the undercard to Gennady Golovkin's next fight, even if GGG's next opponent will be Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Mentally, I think he's finished. It'll be RJJ all over again if he doesn't hang them up.

Now we see Loeffler's angle in the negotiations. They are telling Golden Boy they want one of their fighters on the co-main that affects splits and percentages on the entire card, and they will use leverage from the Gonzalez metrics which was the sole reason why many LA PPV buys bought the Golovkin fights, those Nicaraguan populus from LA, more than any other city in the USA.

Is this a GBP or K2 event? Loeffler I guess feels the need to push Gonzalez on NELO's card, it's not the GGG Show, it's the Alvarez Show.

Are they going to put Joshua Franco vs Gonzalez for Super Fly? GBP vs K2 co-main?
