Comments Thread For: Jarrell Miller Favors Deontay Wilder to Knock Out Anthony Joshua

UNIONDALE, New York Jarrell Miller doesn't expect an Anthony Joshua-Deontay Wilder fight to take place anytime soon. But if the undefeated, hard-hitting heavyweight champions were to meet in the foreseeable future, Miller would favor Alabama's Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) to knock out England's Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs). Miller thinks the 6-feet-7 Wilder's athleticism and power would be too much for the comparatively immobile Joshua, whose chin Miller considers questionable.

I like Miler attitude, but they all say the same thing until they become the man or get up there. And he is right, Joshua doesn't move his head as much, too stiff and doesnt bob/weave, if like Miller said one of those windmill catches Joshua then he is out.

Only if Miller could fight as good as he talks he’d really be something.

Predictions like this baffle me, they always point some stuff that Joshua does wrong and use it as ammo for a Wilder win when Wilder is just as guilty of those faults.

Case in point, does Wilder move his head?

Has Wilder not been hurt and dropped by fighters worse than Whyte and Wlad?

nice opinion..but a man who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones..miller looked average, slow in footwork and hand speed against a fat mariusz wach...I think he should keep working on his skills and stop worrying about other people's battles..but it his opinion which he's entitled to..I know and respect that..just saying

Is the wladimere knockdown the only time Joshua has been off his feet?

The one true advantage I give Wilder over Joshua is his athleticism. However, I've said it before, Joshua is pretty athletic for such a big guy and is probably the only HW that could match Wilder in that area. I don't think Wilder will try those wind mill punches against Joshua unless he's almost comatose. He knows which boxers he can get away with doing that wild stuff. He didn't try it in the first Stiverne fight because he knew that version had a lot more fight in him.

So when you make a fight prediction what are you supposed to base it on? He basically said that Wilder advantages in athleticism will allow him to land his power shots and KO Joshua. Doesn't mean Joshua can't or won't hurt Wilder, just that Wilder is more likely to land his big shots which historically have ended fights.

I totally agree with Miller, AJ is a body builder with no chin who is fighting dish washers, taxi cab drivers, and club bouncers filling out 90,000 soccer studio in front of drunk/dancing brits who don’t have a clue of boxing. AJ is another Frank Bruno who got dismantled by Tyson. Same thing is going to happen when AJ meets Wilder

He doesn't throw the windmill punches until he has his opponent hurt or they start turtling. As for the athleticism, Joshua isnt that far behind Wilder, but unfortunately Joshua cannot use his without gassing out.
