Comments Thread For: Jarrell Miller: The Other American

By Cliff Rold - At heavyweight, the 20th century was the American century. Johnson, Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Ali, Tyson, Holyfieldthe list ran deep. There were occasional foreign intrusions, but the consistency of dominance was more so than any other nation in any other division. Nearly two decades into the 21st century...

Miller is a slow fat bum, no footwork, no boxing skills, nothin special. Wilder or Joshua would easily control him with the jab. He might have a good chin though.

he pressures good but against a heavy hitter like Joshua and wilder..if he doesn't up his defence..he's gonna take a lot of beating and hope they gas out teeing off on his head

Miller still hasn’t fought anyone but style wise he looks tidier than Wilder to me. It looks like he’s tried to replicate Bowe but maybe it’s just a coincidence.

Right now, AJ would pick him to pieces, but style wise him and Wilder would be a war and Miller looks a bit more range aware to me, perhaps it’s his Muay Thai background but he does look tidier than Wilder when he’s attacking. He could beat Parker, that’d ****e the division up a bit and Miller vs Ortiz, wow that’d be interesting.

Miller is decent offensively and comes forward but it's how he fights on the backfoot which remains to be seen. He hasn't been pressed back much in his fights. I still think he's too heavy but at least for this upcoming fight he looks about 20lbs lighter as he was far too heavy v Washington for me.

The article states THREE American heavyweights but then talks about Wilder, Ruiz and Miller implying Ruiz is the third American ????

Ruiz is down in the Ring table as Mexico and Brezeale is the third American boxer in the top ten.

Let's go Big Baby! Win this, and the future is very bright! Say what you want but Miller is better than Stiverne and Takam! I wish Breazeale had fought Miller vice Molina, so we could get Wilder vs. Miller instead of Wilder vs. Breazeale! Maybe we can get Jarrell Miller vs. Dillan Whyte next! Eddie Hearn, make it happen!

The heavyweight championship of the world is historically an English title. It has just had a 100 year stretch out but it has been back in its rightful home this century.
