More boxing fans were willing to watch Deontay Wilder fight Bermane Stiverne again than many might've expected. According to ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research, Wilder's vicious, first-round knockout of Stiverne drew a peak audience of 887,000 viewers Saturday night from Brooklyn's Barclays Center. An average of 824,000 viewers tuned in for their brief bout, in which Wilder knocked down Stiverne three times before it was stopped with one second left in the first round.

    824K average. That's a nice number for Showtime. 2nd highest rating since Wilder-Stiverne I in January 2015 behind Garcia-Broner (881K).

Not bad numbers. Wilder v Joshua has to happen at some point in 2018. Fury to beat the winner

Terrible numbers. This clown cant even crack 1 mil views on home soil. 75-25 split on the Joshua fight makes sense certainly now.

No one in the world wanted to see Wilder-stiverne 2, Yet Wilder still managed to get almost 900k. Wilder is a bonified star and Hearn and Joshua need to stop trying to "build up" the fight. It's obviously built already.

25 percent for wilder??? lmao why?

                    joshua 90k tickets sold
                    wilder 9k sold

                    joshua 1.5 milion ppvs sold
wilder 800k on free tv(or at best monthly subscription channel where this fight is 1 of hundreds of options you are paying for)

                    josha 15 million purse
                    wilder 1.5 million purse

this looks like a classic 90-10 split. wilder could have increased his bargaining power by taking whyte and doing good numbers while putting pressure on joshua. oh well now we have to go on the numbers he does have since he doesnt have international data to go on
