  • Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz Manager: We Are Not Going To Let Wilder Off The Hook

According to Jay Jimenez, manager of heavyweight contender Luis Ortiz (27-0, 23 KOs), they are not going to forget about a potential fight with WBC world champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs). Ortiz was scheduled to face Wilder last Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. He was pulled from the bout after failing a pre-fight drug test - which Ortiz and his camp have long claimed was due to the boxer's prescribed medication for high blood pressure.

His fighting spirit was probably watching from ringside and left the venue early in disgust~

How did he used that failed test to get out of the fight??? Your fighter used ped's to gain an advantage not only that he was suspended for a year and plus this isn't the first time he tested dirty. How about running a clean camp and the fight won't get cancelled next time.

Jimenez believes Wilder never really wanted to face Ortiz and used the failed drug test as a maneuver to get himself out of the fight. The manager made it clear that Ortiz is going to pursue Wilder until they settle things in the ring.
"Deep down, he did not want to fight Ortiz," Jimenez told George Ebro. "Wilder knew what he was getting into when he accepted Luis' challenge. He has shielded himself with the result of a test where there was really a health problem and Luis was taking a prescription medication. But I'm sure that at some point we'll see each other face to face in the ring. ''

            WTF???somehow its Wilders fault?

If this claim about high blood pressure medication triggering a fail result is true, then Ortiz's people are idiots. I mean, aren't all medications taken required to be disclosed to avoid just such a "mix up" and false positives? If it was me, somebody would be looking for a new job.

It amazes me how dirty fighters and their camps try to place the blame elsewhere

Listen Jay Jimenez, that old man nearly had a stroke during training camp, he tried to duck Deontay thinking he still was going to be A.J's mandatory ; now hes ****ed after seeing what happened to Bermane for talking greasy.

I suggest you shut the **** up because you wont be the one taking a ride in the ambulance.
