Russia - In a dreadful and highly unwatchable fight, labeled Corrida - WBA #9 super middleweight Andrey Sirotkin (14-0, 4 KOs) scored the biggest win of his career, when Nicaraguan bombshell Ricardo Mayorga (32-10-1, 26 KOs) retired in his corner after nine complete rounds. Mayorga, 44, nicknamed El Matador, showed glimpses of his best self in the opening round, rocking Sirotkin with a couple of sudden outbursts. It was all what was left of the former multi-title welterweight and the WBC light middleweight champion of the world. Sirotkin, 32, started to land at will in round two, but when you have 3 knockouts in 13 fights it doesn't help you much against bravado and machismo of the Nicaragua's most flamboyant boxer in history.
