Comments Thread For: Juan Carlos Abreu Blasts Out Jesus Soto Karass in The Eight

Juan Carlos "Merengue" Abreu (20-3-1, 19 KOs) took a decisive step forward in the welterweight rankings after stopping the experienced Mexican warrior Jesus "Renuente" Soto Karass (28-13-4, 18 KOs) in the eighth-round of the scheduled 10-round main event of the latest edition of Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN at Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Arizona. Abreu, of La Romana, Dominican Republic, outboxed Soto Karass in nearly every round as the native of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico, pushed forward aggressively. After scoring a knockdown followed by a series of unanswered punches, the fight was stopped at 1:07 of the eighth round.

Kingry looks powerful. He could cut off the ring better and up his jab output.

      Poor Soto Karass

Ryan "Kingry" Garcia is a diamond who need to be polished. He a great prospect and with good guidance, he can become to contender status soon enough, the talent is there. I hope to see more of him in the future.

I feel sorry for Soto Karass, he was dehydrated, he mileage is 500,000 miles with the wars he fought in his career, age and inactivity, also don't help. He always a fighter who is entertaining. Best wishes for him and his family. I hope he stay healthy.:ANYWORD:

Karass is a warrior with 3 good wins: Selcuk, Carson Jones and Berto. But man, time to hang ´em up.

I was doing something and I forgot the show is on but it didn't surprise me, JSK , terribly shopworn even with his last three wins it's time for him to pull the plug and sit down..

Garcia stands way too straight up and his ****y attitude and sticking his tongue out like a 5 year old school girl is going to cost him at the higher levels. He thinks his sht doesnt stink but he will learn the hard way.

Now that you mention it, Ryan "Kingry" Garcia, it reminds me of the time of the cockiness of Johnny Tapia. In the perfect world, I hope his team put some discipline in him.
