Comments Thread For: Caleb Plant: I Need a Big Name To Fight Me, Show My Skills

Caleb Plant (16-0) may only be 16 fights into his pro career but he feels that he is ready for the big fights. In his last fight he dominated Andrew Hernandez over 10 rounds at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The fight was televised by Showtime. The Tennessee native who is now based in Sin City has called out newly crowned WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez and several other top fighters and prospects in the division with no success.

Very solid fighter, skillswise but I see him hovering at the contender level. He lacks that something special and there is too much talent for him to penetrate the elite.

I like Caleb Plant and think that he's probably the closest thing to a "Great White Hype" that we have in boxing.

Let's just face it. Boxing needs a White dude to be good for us to be able to ever compete with UFC or other sports.

That's why the NFL is still king because of Brady, Manning, Brees, Ryan, etc. . .

America will let boxing die if somebody like Plant doesn't set the world on fire, so I'm rooting for him.
