Comments Thread For: DeGale Wants Winner of WBSS; Hopes It's Rematch With Groves

James DeGale couldn't participate in the World Boxing Super Series even if he wanted to do that because he had a shoulder injury that required surgery in July. When the WBSS' super middleweight tournament is over, however, DeGale wants to fight the winner. If that's the survivor of a semifinal between British champions George Groves and Chris Eubank Jr. or Callum Smith, all the better.

Nobody @ 168 cant **** with James Degale. The division is in a drought, empty of any real boxing mastery! I'm so tired of watching this euro-bum tournament : Callum Smith? Jamie Cox? Avni Yildirim?! George Groves?! E.U bum jr? the sport cant gain any new fans watching this trash -- come back soon 'Chunky'!

Yeah as you can see, I been working on the piece awaiting the KING to return.

There's some good fights to be made between the fighters not in the tournament and those that are.

      Groves
      Eubank
      Smith

      DeGale
      Ramirez
      Benavidez

The tournament is going to give us good fights to finish off with, but hopefully those fights can continue into 2018

This is some amateur hour sh^t with no opponent for DeGale to fight in 5 weeks yet. I mean I gotta suspect they got a guy or two & one or both are currently in training waiting on sh^t to be confirmed, but wtf this looks unprofessional & rushed for a guy who's seemingly a top guy in his division & arguably a top 20ish P4P guy (& sh^t some may consider him higher for all I know) & has been sidelined for so long.

Depending on how bad the loser looks between Groves & Eubank Jr that wouldn't be a bad guy to plan to fight in Apr/May.

Can Arum (Ramirez) & Warren (DeGale) actually come to terms for that fight to happen? Have those guys worked together in the past? I kinda see Warren as the UK Arum & Arum as the US Warren lmfao. So idk if those guys would be bitter enemies they are so alike or best buds. Could see it going either way.

Probably money issues. What Hearn saying is he went off to America and done his thing, comes back thinking hes the big star, wanting money hes not worth. Should have stayed in the UK, but let several other Brits pass him by popularity wise in the UK.

I can sort of see where Hearns coming from, but don't completely agree with it. Degales last fight being for the lineal title and all. Respect him for doing his own thing.

Think he wanted Degale to be on the Bellew/Haye undercard, Roamer Angulo was mentioned by Hearn, but the money wasn't there. Warren willing to pay him and Selby though, but they gotta find a way to make the money work, so you getting delays.

You know its weird. They both control the WBO, but never come together to fight for one of the vacants. Do they flip a coin on who gets to fight for it or something? Just whats happened in the last week

                WBO welterweight - Arum
                WBO superlightweight - Warren
                WBO lightweight - Arum

Liams going at in a final eliminator for the WBO superwelterweight, Cotto expected to retire. Warren must have won the coin toss to fight for that vacant.

LOL. The corruption in boxing never not makes me laugh despite how f#cked up it all is.

WBO middleweight champ Billy Joe saunders a Warren fighter.

Even Joseph Parker works with Arum
