  • Comments Thread For: Joshua Admits Late Switch To Takam Made Things Very Tough

Anthony Joshua acknowledged the fact he had had only 12 days to prepare for Carlos Takam contributed to his struggle to secure the explosive knockout expected of him. Though he consistently dominated the latest defence of his IBF, IBO and WBA titles, he took until the 10th round to stop the previously little-known Frenchman, and to significant dissatisfaction.

Yeah his programmer didn't have enough time to program the machine, he's not a true talent he's just an exceptional athlete with good work ethic

The thing is that everyone saw that he lacks a consistent jab to fall back on, he threw his right hand like it was a slap, he's only a guy with a good left hook and good uppercut, lacks lateral movement-movement period, gets a lil frustrated, becomes easy to hit when he has to fight inside, and his stamina is in question. Wilder is going to cause Joshua serious problems when they fight.

He was always going to have a hard time against Takam, it doesn't matter how much time he'd have to prepare. So would Wilder, though him Takam would actually beat I think. Takam is a tough mofo with iron chin and will and a very uncomfortable style for a tall heavyweight to deal with.

If you thought Joshua would just destroy him within a couple rounds you either DSKAB or hadn't seen Takam fight before. Or both.
