Hometown hero Juergen Braehmer (75,7 kg) (48-3, 35 KOs) and Rob Brant (75,3 kg) (22-0, 15 KOs) are ready for Saturday's Ali Trophy quarter-final in Schwerin, Germany. "I am very confident that I will win tomorrow," said Brant. "Whether the fight was in Dallas, New York or here in Germany I would feel very confident. A victory will help boost my name in the sport," said the 27-year-old American.

He's getting done in the first round mate, Braehmer is far too skilled for him.

Too skilled, but too old! If Brant is not out in 1, Braehmer is out in 7!

Brahmer is skilled, old and coming down in weight. The weight may be the key. Had that not been an issue, I’d pick brahmer by a mile. For whatever reason, nsb always devalues German fighters in general and Brähmer in particular.

Braehmer looks a lot better than I thought coming down in weight at this stage in his career. I still believe he's pretty shot though. I've only seen Brant twice before tbh but from what I've seen I think he wins this.

Brähmer just looks fit, not drained at all. He is about one weight class bigger than Brant. 50/50 fight.

Brahmer always had that babyfat. That appears gone now. So yeah. His body looks in shape, but I think his face shows that he is quite dehydrated and I think he made a mistake coming in this low.

The weight issue is the "key" issue. When you're already an older fighter, you shouldn't be trying to go back to weights you haven't been in years, and then face a young lion at that (see Kell Brook)!
