Comments Thread For: Miguel Vazquez Very Confident as Josh Taylor Clash Approaches

Mexico's Miguel "Titere" Vazquez, who's on the lookout for an opportunity to contest for the WBC super lightweight belt, takes his next significant step on November 11, when he faces unbeaten fighter Josh Taylor in Haggis Land! Edinburgh "The Granite City," is where "Titere" will try to conquer the WBC Silver super lightweight belt. But to achieve this in the heart of Bonnie Scotland, he'll need "Loch Ness" power to dent the undefeated record of his opponent, who has 10 wins with 8 KOs.

I'm thinking an ugly hometown decision that nobody cares about enough to rematch.

Vasquez is a tricky customer and is something Taylor hasn't faced before in the pros, but Taylor is the best prospect in the U.K. atm, and I believe he'll have too much for Vasquez. Vazquez has seen better days IMO and is way better suited to fighting at 135. Taylor is too young, too strong, too powerful. I got Taylor by late TKO.

Damn didn't know Miguel Vasquez was still an active fighter. Really hadn't heard his name much over the past few years.

Vasquez was one of the hardest outs in boxing in his heyday. His only losses were to canelo and Tim Bradley. All were close decisions, when they all were just young prospects.

If Vasquez is anything close to what he was, he should outpoint this dude..

But he is older, and on foreign turf. He probably loses a close decision or by quick stoppage

Vasquez had an impressive run with the IBF lightweight title. But this is junior welterweight and I think Taylor is in prime form. Fight is in Scotland too.. Taylor by KO if the casino is paying you right.

If the idiot who wrote this was doing his travel arrangements, Vasquez wouldn't even make it to the fight venue. The "Granite City" is Aberdeen.
