BoxingScene.com's Steve Kim first reported on Monday, that WBC super featherweight champion Miguel Berchelt had suffered a right hand injury that forced him to withdraw from a planned defense against Orlando Salido, which was scheduled to headline an HBO televised card in Las Vegas. Vargas needs to get an easier opponent after so many back to back to back toe to toe battles.

He's got a new trainer in Joel Diaz and it is going to take a few fights for them to adjust to each other. Vargas should not be in a rush to get another title chance.

Vargas sells well and it won't be a problem to get a chance at a title no matter the organization.

Man i feel bad salido. They keep trying to throw him into big fight after big fight hoping he'll be washed up over night and get knocked out yet he proves them wrong and gets bull**** decisions like the draw in the first fight with vargas and the draw with martinez.
