Comments Thread For: Demetrius Andrade Makes 160 Debut, Dominates Alantez Fox

Turning Stone Casino, New York - Making his middleweight debut, and the first bout of his multi-fight deal with HBO, Demetrius Andrade (25-0, 16 KOs) dominated previously undefeated Alantez Fox (23-1-1, 11 KOs) for a twelve round unanimous decision. This was Andrade's first bout since his March twelve round decision win over Jack Culcay to capture the WBA's "regular" junior middleweight world title.

Andrade needs to step it up and not just coast on his abilities. Much like Lara, Andrade is on cruise control every fight.

He should have blown out Fox within 6 rounds.

Lets see Andrade against the Jacobs vs Arias winner next or Charlo/Derevyanchenko next.

I thought DA looked small for 160.

I can't see why boxing doesn't jump into the 21st century and implement instant replay for certain situations so a guy doesn't have to stare at a knockdown on his record, when it was truely a slip. Not sure I can 100% say Andrade wasn't knocked down, but there's been quite a few horrendous calls on non-knockdowns.

So Andrade only came in at 167lbs, yet people around here will have you believe that these 154lbers weigh in the 170s on fight night.

I like Andrade, but he never makes exciting fights.

This was a good learning experience for Alantez Fox he showed good defense offensively he didn't let his hands go enough to win rounds he'll be back stay in the gym work hard.Andrade wasn't that sharp he outworked Fox dominated the fight he gotta stay busy no more long layoffs.
