Comments Thread For: Joshua: Wilder Needs to Stop Crying, Feeling Sorry for Himself

Anthony Joshua joked Friday that he was going to follow Deontay Wilder's lead by making emotional statements on social media when Kubrat Pulev pulled out of their fight Monday. "When I heard Pulev pulled out, I was gonna do the same thing," a laughing Joshua said during a conference call. "I thought that's what the champions are doing these days."

Yawn not interested in this fight. Maybe if Wilder had beaten Povetkin and Ortiz, I'd see it as a competitive fight, but right now Wilder is just too unproven. Eric Molina had been badly hurt. He may go down with the first jab Joshua lands. How does that make for a megafight? That makes for a mismatch that will be very disappointing. Wilder needs to fight a top name with power to prove himself to make this fight interesting.

Exactly. Wilder LOVES to play the victim that press conference where he spent 10 minutes trying to defend his record was embarrassing. AJ 100% correct quit being a bi tch and get on with it

"Twitter Fingers". I've watched a couple of his interviews recently and he seems real laid back. He's stopped all that cringe catchphrase stuff.

Even though he's on record saying he might swerve Deontay in 2018, his reasoning behind it makes sense. This again comes down to him being a real guy.

This is a clear swipe at Super-Featherweight Floyd "matching" Rocky Marciano's 50-0 record.
