Jack definitely doesn't seem a fighter that avoids tough fights but I'd say there's definitely an element of high risk:low reward fighting Bivol at this pointI have a hard time believing Jack did a Canelo on Bivol, I like Jack, not exactly a huge fan, but he's showed up for tough fights before.
It was probably a case of sitting down and crunching the numbers, looking at alternatives and seeing an easier route to bigger pay-days.
As a fan, I think this would be an incredible matchup, with both guys having a come forward style, like to **** and have good skills. Would have been a cracker. Maybe they'll meet in a unification bout down the line (hopefully Jack or somebody gets rid of that pest Stevenson).Comment

No...no....and no..
Eddie Hearn stipulated that Jack vacate the WBA title if he beat Cleverly.
Why is that so hard to understand?????
You guys have a truth allergy...

did u literally just post the quote that validates my argument and still tell me my argument is wrong?“They’re working on something big, so I just got to stay patient,” Jack said to ESPN.com. “It was part of the agreement for us even getting the fight with Cleverly that we had to vacate it after we won. I’m not ducking a guy who has 11 fights. Look at the guys I have fought. My promoter is looking for bigger and better things for me,” Jack said."
It had everything to do with it. Like I said, I don't think Jack was ducking Bivol. He was looking for bigger and better fights as he stated above. Was it part of the agreement for him to vacate so he could fight Clev? Yes. I never disputed that. Jack was willing to vacate because he wants your boy Stevenson....he doesn't want to be bothered by fights with guys like Bivol that don't offer much in reward but come potentially high with risk.
i give ppl to much time on the internet i swear it...yall some dumb fuggs or just flat out trollsComment

Bivol has nothing to do with Hearn. Bivols World of Boxing. If there was any agreement it was that Hearn put Bivol on one of his cards for a fight. Why did Jack wait til the WBA ordered him and Bivol to start negotiations to drop the belt, and not do it straight away? Or even mention he intended to?Comment

Bivol don't need any agreements to get a shot, he was mandatory, backed by the richest guy in boxing, Jack or Cleverly won, it didn't matter, they were off to Russia.Comment

You are wrong....as you well know.
Jack agreed to relent the WBA if he beat Cleverly....it was part of the deal to get the fight done.
Jack didn't drop the strap to avoid a club-level fighter like Bivol.Comment
