Comments Thread For: Jhonny Gonzalez Stays Busy on 11/4 Before Francisco Vargas Bout

Former world champion Jhonny Gonzalez will stay busy - returning to the ring on November 4, when he faces Panamanian Irving Berry at the Joshua Nery Santos Gym in Mexico. The fight was taken to keep him sharp before a final world title eliminator against another former world champion, countryman Francisco Vargas. Berry, 31, with a record of 23-6-2, 10 by way of knockout, wants to relaunch his career and will try to do it against one of the most dangerous punchers in the sport - a puncher who knows that the victory is an obligation that he needs to gain if he wants to realize his plans and win a new world title.

Jhonny is as old as the hills but with his power and the fact that Vargas is a face first bleeder could be the difference.

He'll yea Gonzalez is always exciting.

He had a serious chance of winning here. Vargas took too many consecutive beatings.

I have always liked JG hopefully his defense has improved over the last year-and-a-half but that fragile chin still exists but with that Dynamite power and especially in that hook... Jhonny is always in the fight and I wish him the best and after 2018 I do hope he calls it a career...
