Golden Boy is drowning they need to make Errol Spence a great offer. What happened to Matthyse? His career has went downhill since going to Golden Boy. This isn’t your Richard Schaefer ran GBP

Matthyssee was offered the fight and turned it down. Steve Kim reported yesterday

According to Eric Gomez, the president of Golden Boy Promotions, Danny Garcia, Lamont Peterson, James Kirkland, Errol Spence Jr. and Lucas Matthysse either declined this opportunity to face Cotto or simply were not available.
