Comments Thread For: Larry Holmes: Joshua Should Face Wilder in UK - Not in America

Larry Holmes has warned Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn to abandon plans to fight Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas and to instead bring the American to the United Kingdom. Joshua and his promoter have discussed fighting the WBC heavyweight champion, and most likely in Vegas, in his coming match-ups after he defends his IBF, IBO and WBA titles against Kubrat Pulev in Cardiff on October 28.

Wilder should be bold and travel to UK. Real champions do not fear lion den.

Hearn wants that Vegas site fee and the upside potential, he's going to try his best to get it in the U.S.

I don't see it happening here yet though. I'm hoping we get it sooner than later. If that's in the UK, oh well.

Of course, Beyonce Wilder has to make the trip. Joshua dictates everything at heavyweight. He is the boss of the division.

                Preach, Easton Boy.

Joshua is the draw here, not Wilder. The fight goes where AJ and Hearn says it goes.

Hes the Easton assasin get it straight dont disrespect a legend like that. You're right about Joshua being the bigger draw but the Easton assassin is probably right. I don't think wilder or joshua are big enough in the u.s. that the gate would be bigger than in the UK. Joshua klitscko sold out wembley stadium 90,000 fans and the gate was 8 million pounds which is equivalent to about 12 million u.s. dollars. They could even do better than that with this fight im sure. The u.s. and british ppv would be the same regardless of where they fought and i don't care where they fight but holmes is right homes
