That's not how businesses works. I sympathise with fighters when politics get in the way of competitive fights but what he's angling at is a cash grab.

At this point, Cotto means nothing to Garcia competitively. It is purely a business move so there is no wrong in gbp treating it like business.

Doesn't sound promising for Garcia vs Linares either, then

Oscar is one of the worst promoters rite now. Him and Kathy Duva. He fućked up the GGG-Canelo fight by marinating and being a ****** promoter. He basically ran the 4+million people who paid for May/Mac off and told them that they were ******.

This is always going to be a great gem to drop.

Golden Boy has no background in boxing,” Arum told the paper. “They rely on Oscar, who’s a dummy. Oscar is one of the ******est guys I’ve ever met. I’m just saying what it is. The guy is really not smart. Forget just ‘not smart.’ He’s not just even average.”

Except that it's a cash grab for Golden Boy too.

Cotto is on his way out; he's still a draw in NYC, but Sadam Ali isn't going to make it an event.

Mikey Garcia would've; Mexican vs Puerto Rican, a big 135lber vs a solid 154lber, both fighters with strong profiles in NYC, and a high-skills fight regardless of size.

Cotto will get whatever is owed to him, and Ali won't come for a steep price, but Cotto-Garcia may have been twice the fight.
