Comments Thread For: Golovkin Wants 'Fair Playing Field' if Rematch Returns To Vegas

K2 Promotions' Tom Loeffler, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs), is not ruling out the possibility of Las Vegas playing host to the rematch with Canelo Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) - which is being targeted for Cinco De Mayo weekend in May of next year. The two boxers fought last month at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena, with a controversial twelve round split draw being rendered by the official judges.

Good luck pal. I think you can fight Canelo on the moon and one judge will have him 118-110 regardless. We've seen it in every one of his fights that have been closely contested. They even had a judge in pocket in Vegas against Floyd, who ran that commission .

So now they have a problem with Trella? They didn't have a problem with Trella scoring Golovkin-Jacobs for Golovkin. Loeffler himself said that he had Golovkin winning by one or two points. Not hard to see how it could be scored a draw.

He scored round 7 to Canelo, is probably what they're upset about. Which is ridiculous that he did, tbh.

I don't think they have a problem with Trella necessarily but they have a problem with him scoring a seemingly clear GGG round for Canelo. Even Adelaide Byrd scored that round for Canelo. Either way, the rematch is going to be insane, especially now that both guys know what the other has to offer. Peace.
