World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman indicates that his organization will review the situation with the WBC middleweight title, which is currently held by Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs). Last month Golovkin - who also holds the IBF, IBO, WBA titles - fought to a controversial twelve round split draw with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs). There is now talk of a rematch, to potentially take place in May of 2018.
