Brock: "Ibrigamov is A Be Safe First Boxer"

UNDEFEATED . . . BUT NOT FOR LONG: Only three weeks remain for the anticipated undefeated doubleheader from Caesar’s Palace’s Open-Air Amphitheater in Las Vegas, NV. The June 24 doubleheader will be televised on HBO’s “Boxing After Dark” series, and will feature two 12 round bouts: a WBA Welterweight Eliminator between Joel Julio and Carlos Quintana, and a 12 round heavyweight main event between Calvin Brock and Timur Ibragimov. Brock and Ibragimov recently offered their thoughts on the bout and on training camp: [details]

Yeah it's an improvment on Valuev Beck anyway. The heavyweight division needs more of these fights.

I've not seen Timur fight, but I agree with you guys that this is the sort of matchup between two top 25 heavyweights that should be happening every few months.

Lets hope that the winner gets a shot at Klitschko, liakhovic or Valuev

Ive never seen timur fight so I'd imagine he has a totally different style than his cousin sultan who is anything but a safety first boxer. Im going to watch this fight but would be a lot more into it if it was sultan fighting brock who has a very exciting style. looks like a bigger stronger version of jirov

Isn't the winner going to become mandatory for one of the belts?
