  • Comments Thread For: Conor McGregor Wanted To Fight Malignaggi Under MMA Rules

John Kavanagh, head trainer of UFC superstar Conor McGregor, revealed that his fighter was very open to the idea of trading punches with former two division champion Paulie Malignaggi - but McGregor wanted to settle their dispute under MMA rules. Last month, the MMA fighter made his professional debut as a boxer and was stopped in ten rounds by five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Malignaggi, as part of the Showtime broadcast team, was sitting ringside at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Goes to show Paulie probably outboxed him for the majority of their sparring while he was out of shape if Mcgregor is insisting for him to go to UFC lol if he "destroyed" him in sparring why wont he entertain the idea of doing it at 147 with 8 oz gloves

McGregor exposed Mayweather as a coward in the fight and humiliated him at the weigh in by have five times as much pecker bulge in his drawers. Two silly myths dispelled with extreme prejudice in a matter of 36 hours LOL

Oh yeah, we all saw "the power" when a 40 year old that couldn't spar the final month and did a half a$$ training camp, walked down a guy that was 25 pounds heavier than him on fight night then KO'd him. We saw Conor's power alright. He's the one that said he was "boxing's new god". The boxers weren't saying they'd go to MMA and take over. I like McLovin over in the ufc, but he and his trainer are throwing the "let's fight in the octagon" BS out there to Paulie because they know Conor would get embarrassed two boxing fights in a row and make a lot less the second time around. Posturing and politics at this point.
