No announcement yet.
If Andre Ward is Golovkin's boogeyman, is Wladimir Klitschko Ward's boogeyman?

By that logic, any boxer that doesn't compete at heavyweight can't be considered a great boxer. So all other boxers below heavyweight are inferior to heavyweights then.

Golovkin will go down with the best middleweight record in history of boxing, just like how Wladimir Klitschko has gone down with the best heavyweight boxing record in istory.
Both have the best record, against the best level of opposition in their own, respective weight divisions.
The same cannot be stated of Andre Ward, who isn't better in any division than either Golovkin or Wladimir Klitschko.
'Moving up in weight' is a fallacy. If a boxer competes in his natural weight division, against opponents his own weight and has the discipline to stay in shape to continue competing in his own weight division, it is ridiculous to criticize said boxer for not moving to different weight divisions. Otherwise, you might as well criticize every boxer who hasn't fought at heavyweight.

What do sales have to do with skill ? Look how many tuned in to Macgregor vs Floyd. The trend would suggest the lower the skilled the more excitement in the fight, hence why guys like Rigo and Ward don't sell like GGG and Canelo.
GGG said he'd face Ward at 164 but face Froch and Chavez at 168, how does that make you feel ?
