  • Comments Thread For: Carl Frampton To Sign Deal With Frank Warren?

Boxing Scene have been informed that Carl Frampton will tomorrow (Sunday, September 24) announce a promotional deal with Frank Warren. Details are scarce at this stage but 'Scene can, at least, confirm catergorically that Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Sports will not reunite with 'The Jackal'. Frampton, who split with long-time promoter Cyclone Promotions and manager Barry McGuigan last month has become one of the hottest free agents in boxing. It must be added however that the British Boxing Board of Control said last week that McGuigan was still contracted as Frampton's manager. It remains to be seen how that will come to its conclusion.

Big coup for Warren. Very surprised he didn't go with Hearn.

Not really surprising. I dont think Frampton likes Hearn too much and Hearn has way too many fighters IMO.

This another fighter leaving Haymon. Haymon just ja too many fighters. Matthyse, Beterbiev, Frampton all guys who see greener pastures outside of pbc.

It was a shame they wasted this guy fighting in Texas smh and not in Ireland at all during his pbc tenure

Frampton signing with Warren and not Hearns or Schaefer is shocking. Does this mean the relationship with Al Haymon has also ended?

If so that's shocking because Frampton has a good following and sells well.

Beterbiev left Haymon ? No wonder why he hasn't been getting fights !! No fights in 2017 yet and we're nearly in October.

Exactly. He needed top rank to win a purse bid to get a fight

I don't think Matthyse was ever with Hamon.
