SO RIO FERDINAND wants to be a boxer. There will be and already has been a lot said and written about the 38-year-old former footballer taking a punt at the noble art as part of a promotional campaign by the bookmaker Betfair. Publicity-driven stunts such as this will always arouse su****ion amongst the cynics and I agree that boxing is never a sport that should taken up lightly.

I agree. I'm sick of these pricks having the arrogance to think they can get in the ring. Saw Rio on the news the other day. He didn't even look like he could do the pads properly, never mind fight!
It was annoying when that fat clown Freddie Flintoff "had a go".
Only shame was that he survived in one piece, but at lest he had the sense to go one and done.
Rio definitely deserves knocking out though. He has hardly any brain cells as it is, so God help him after taking a few big shots!
