Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker-Hughie Fury and Who's Number Two?

By Cliff Rold - The leader of the heavyweight division is easy to identify right now. There are still a couple fights to win to declare WBA/IBF/IBO beltholder Anthony Joshua (19-0, 19 KO) as the indisputable heavyweight champion, but he's firmly the man of the moment. His win over Wladimir Klitschko is superior to any of the other current beltholders. The approximately 160,000 tickets he's sold in just two fights this year makes him the market alpha as well...

Wilder knows AJ is not going to fight him anytime soon. So he fighting the other guy ranked higher per TBRB than himself. That is the fight for #2. The #2 and #3 hws fighting would be the one to determine who is #2. Parker could be fighting Wilder now; but Fury probably makes him as much $ and he very well may beat Hughie. The hate for any Haymon fighter on here is insane.

"Hughie isn’t Tyson, but he’s still a Fury"

Are you sure? According to the title of this article, Hughie is Tyson.

Nah but we all make typos. Just a head's up.

Hughie Worthless Fury has zero business in any title fight

How the hell can Hughie no talent weak spaghetti arms Fury fight for any bull crap worthless boxing title? Granted Kiwi weak Joey Plain Parker is nothing to brag about either. Worthless title fight for nothing. Boxing fights like this toilet scrap are trashy.

How is this a fight for Number 2? I know Wilder has fought some dodgy competition as of late but he has a firm stake at No 2. This is a fight to be number 3 in the division.

Gotta try to hype this bs "mandatory" fight I guess. Fair play to their bs attempt.

I thought Wilder is #2 and after beating King Kong could easily be numero uno in my book. Parker is currently #3 id say and if Hughie wins he gets his spot. Still waiting for TYSON FUUURY to shake with division and we also got hot prospects in France and England that will be dangerous in 2-3 years from now if they keep fighting 5 times per year.
