Comments Thread For: Roach Still Hopes Pacquiao-Horn Rematch Will Happen in 2018

Freddie Roach, trainer for eight division champion Manny Pacquiao, is still hoping that his boxer is able to secure a rematch with WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn (17-0-1, 11 KOs). Horn shocked the boxing world when he clinched a twelve round unanimous decision over Pacquiao back in July to capture the WBO title before 51,000 fans in Brisbane, Australia.

If they make that Crawford fight, Horn may never fight again.

Your probably right, but I don't no, horns style is wrong for so many ppl.... skill wise Crawford shuts horn out but horn is rough as guts and he be in Crawfords face... interesting fight

I feel like he's too green (resisting urge to make Green Hornet jok--ahh too late) right now. If he can't headlock and headbutt (which Crawford being the A side; the fight will be in the states), he gets popped out inside 6. The only thing that impressed me in the Pacquaio fight (and I apologize in advance to any Pac fans--because I thought Manny won soundly), was that Manny nor his corner did nothing after 3 or 4 rounds to interject to the ref and stop the all things not boxing that were going on. Manny was like habitually abused wife that just kept coming back, round after round thinking something (the ref) was going to change about it. I don't think Horn is that good with a fair shake and not on his own time zone, in front of his own crowd and overall, with the ducks in a row. Guess we'll know his next fight!

Pacquiao should also quit politics, he's a nuisance in PH Senate. :smileysex

I'm a bit embarrassed to say but I actually laughed a little at the hornet joke lol....again your 100% right bout the PAC fight, I thought it was a close fight but PAC man edged it. I think horn is probably a Bclass fighter, I don't think he'll beat garcia, Thurman, spence, but I think he'd hold his own against say berto or porter, horns not as bad as ppl make out, he needs to go to the US and get a better trainer... as for Crawford at first I agreed about him being the A side, but the more I think about, I don't no how much money Crawford brings in in the us,but I don't think it's a lot, but Crawford/horn would do big money in Aus, another 50-60k seat stadium, it would do well on ppv, so I could see arum bringin the fight to Aus again and we could have another scrappy fight.. I guess we'll just have to wait and see

Hornets are mean. They are ferocious. They leave f'n welts that hurt. That's all I'm saying, hornets are not any kind of joke.

I want to see the rematch simply because I think Pacquiao has enough left in the tank to avenge the loss. But, after that I hope to see Pacquiao retire. I don't want to see him in their with any young lions like Crawford or any other top welterweight.
