You have to remember that Alvarez is Hopkins guy (BHop and Oscar were the only 2 fighters I saw who thought Alvarez won).
Canelo's stamina has always been questioned. He likes to fight at his pace, taking some time off every round. Golovkin pressed him and didn't let him rest and Alvarez fought as if he was conserving his energy so he could go 12 rounds.
He got more active in the final 3 rounds but he gave away to many rounds to win the fight.
