I'm sorry... I can't see how anyone can give Canelo 7 rounds. SERIOUSLY.
A draw is not out of the question BUT that only happens if you give every close/swing round to Canelo.

2 and 3 are clear Canelo rounds
4,5,6,7,8,9 are clear Golovkin rounds with Canelo being absolutely passive, working only in short spurts
10 round can be scored either way, Canelo landed great combos in the beginning, made Golovkin's face look like a punching bag, but other than that Golovkin was more busy.
11 can be scored either way, but in my opinion Canelo edged it
12 you can make an argument for both Canelo and Golovkin winning that round
I found rounds 5 and 6 to be really close

watched it at home. Think it was a french overdub and i dont speak french. I had it at 4-3 for canelo at the end of the 7th and stopped keeping track then. A lot of rounds were close and hard to score. ggg more active with canelo moving and visibly tired. But canelo landing the cleaner, harder punches. compubox numbers were way off. I think a draw is fair.

Watched it at a theater through Fathom Events. Fathom shows the fight with the main broadcast, therefore we had the HBO commentary. Harold's scorecard was atrocious IMO, I hardly ever agree with his stuff. He only cares about being aggressive, he doesn't seem to care about effective punches landed. I think the majority of people in the theater were influenced by HBO's biased coverage of the fight. RJJ and Max tried to keep it even, but Lampley and Harold were extremely biased.
I scored the fight a draw but would have have had an issue seeing it go either way.
